This group consists of people from all over the Ethical Non-Monogamy spectrum. Some of us are polyamorous, others are more casual (FWB, Swingers etc) Some have been in the ENM lifestyle all of their lives in some form or another, others are brand newly opened up, and some are on the outside looking in… considering ENM but haven’t started yet. 

Across this spectrum values, ideals and ethics will vary. Boundaries and rules will be different and the reasons for having them will vary greatly. 

The Ethical Non-Monogamy Group is founded on the vision of bringing all of these people together in one place to share our values and our experiences so that we can learn from each other and influence each other to improve our ENM Experience and hopefully avoid some of the common mistakes people often make. 

We feel that this is best done by using Influence in our communication rather than Judgement. 

As such we do not allow grandstanding. Please check your soapbox at the door. Lively conversation is allowed when speaking from a place of personal experience and personal values and then only when you are speaking personally using “I” statements (i.e. “In my opinion…” and “in my experience…” or “that wouldn’t work for me because…”) You are an expert of your own situation, others will have different experiences and different values and this group thrives on communication that puts empathy and understanding of each other as our first priority. When speaking to others in this group do not judge, do not belittle, and do not bully.  

Communication is complex, and as such we have many ways in which we moderate kind and respectful communication and what we mean when we say, we demand kind and respectful communication at all times. We’ve established pages specific to some of our most common ways this rule is violated. It would be in your best interest to read and understand our policy on these so you avoid trouble, and potential Admin action that could result in your removal from the group.

LoveTribeMedia hosts this space for our ENM Members Guide for convenience of our members and prospective members. We also administrate the ENM Group but in no way do we share any private information from our members, nor do we use that information for marketing purposes or any other purpose of any kind. We don’t even use the group to market any of our work unless we offer an opportunity for others to market theirs as well… (ie podcast posts etc)
