Pigs in a Blanket
Ingredients
- Little smokies, flavor of choice
- Crescent rolls or sheets
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Cut the crescent roll dough into thin strips about ¾ the width of the little smokies.
- Roll the little smokies up in the dough and place on a baking sheet.
- Once the baking sheet is full place in the oven for 13-15 minutes.
- They are done when the crescent roll is golden brown.
- Serve with ketchup, mustard or bbq sauce.
Pigs in a Pretzel
Ingredients
- Little Smokies, flavor of choice
- Crescent rolls or sheets 1 egg, beaten
- Kosher salt
- 5 cups water
- ½ cup baking soda
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Cut the crescent roll dough into thin strips about ¾ the width of the little smokies.
- Bring the water and baking soda to a boil in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat.
- Roll the little smokies up in the dough. Place on a baking sheet or other tray.
- Place the rolled smokies into the boiling water mixture for 20-30 seconds and then place on a baking sheet.
- Brush the beaten egg onto the boiled smokies.
- Sprinkle the kosher salt onto the smokies.
- Place the baking sheet with the smokies on it into the oven for 16-19 minutes or until dark golden brown.
- Serve with a honey mustard sauce (see below) or a cheese sauce.
Honey Mustard Sauce
Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp Honey
- ⅓ cup mustard of choice
Instructions
- In a small bowl combine honey and mustard of choice.
- Mix well.
